Matis Alsteens
Associate – LondonMatis joined Beaumont Nathan after a summer spent as a Contemporary Art guide at Château La Coste. Bilingual in English and French, Matis works closely with our global teams on research and valuations. He is a recent graduate of Kings College, London with a degree in Culture, Media, and Creative Industries.
Stephanie Armstrong
Commercial DirectorStephanie leads Beaumont Nathan’s commercial team, and is also involved in client strategy and the overall development of the business. Based between New York and London, Stephanie has a degree in Economics and Art History, and previously spent six years at Christie’s.
Ellen Arthur
Director - LondonEllen is based in London, having spent four years in the Old Masters department at Sotheby’s. She is an experienced valuer and incisive researcher, with a broad art historical knowledge. A highly proficient linguist, Ellen works on multiple international client accounts and is involved in overall business development.
Wentworth Beaumont
Founding PartnerWenty co-founded Beaumont Nathan in 2014 and is responsible for business development and client strategy. A highly experienced dealmaker, he has strong relationships with many of the world’s leading collectors. Passionate about the art market, Wenty divides his time between New York and London.
Claudia Black
Director - LondonClaudia’s expertise spans Old Masters through to 20th Century. Based in London, she advises several established collections in the UK and US, offering her good eye, originality, and taste to all her clients. She holds a strong network of contacts within the industry on both sides of the Atlantic.
Martha Craig
Senior Vice President - LondonMartha has a deep knowledge and passion for art from all periods, with particular expertise in Modernism and Post-War. Having worked at Beaumont Nathan since its inception, Martha spent two years in New York focused on the US market and advises clients across the US, Europe, and the UK. She has extensive museum relationships on both sides of the Atlantic.
Emma Dodson
Executive Assistant - LondonEmma has worked at Beaumont Nathan since its inception. She is Executive Assistant to the Partners and the central cog in the smooth day-to-day running of the company. Based in London, Emma plays a pivotal role in the financial and operational side of the business, while also supporting the client advisory team.
Maddie Hampton
Associate Director - New YorkBased in New York, Maddie possesses a deep knowledge of the contemporary art scene. An alumni of Christie’s and Columbia’s Critical and Curatorial Studies Program, she was most recently a ’22-’23 Helena Rubenstein Fellow at Whitney Independent Study Program.
Clare Keiller
Director of Research – LondonClare has a breadth of curatorial knowledge across the entire spectrum of Western art, and is an expert in valuations. Clare also has a particular interest in the dynamics of the art market, and plays a critical role in guiding our commercial advice. Clare previously spent five years at Christie’s.
Emma Lasry
Vice President - New YorkEmma advises key collectors across 19th, 20th and 21st Century art and drives US client development. Based in New York, she is Founding Member of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s new Vanguard Council for next gen patrons, and is an avid collector herself. Emma has extensive relationships amongst collectors and dealers throughout the US.
Hugo Nathan
Founding PartnerAn art-world veteran, Hugo co-founded Beaumont Nathan in 2014. He works with collectors at the top end of the market and has advised on the acquisition and sales of some of the most significant artworks to come to market. Spending his time between New York and London, Hugo is a passionate collector with an encyclopaedic knowledge of art.
Chris Pearson
Managing DirectorChris is Managing Director of Beaumont Nathan. Dividing his time between London and New York, Chris has overall responsibility for running the business and spearheading key strategic initiatives. Prior to joining Beaumont Nathan, Chris spent 25 years in investment banking, including at JPMorgan Chase and Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
Alice Prince
RegistrarBased in London, Alice runs our collections management and post-sale services. With a background in client and consignment management, she is an expert in matters relating to import, export and insurance in the UK and US, and holds an extensive network of vendor relationships. Alice holds a BA in Classics from Cambridge and has a specialist knowledge in antiquities.
Georgina Walker
Director - LondonAn artist by training, Georgina has strong expertise on contemporary and emerging art. Working between London and New York, she advises both private and institutional clients on developing their collections. Georgina attends art fairs and exhibitions globally, and has extensive relationships with artists, galleries and collectors.

Olivier Berggruen
Curatorial AdvisorA noted art historian and respected curator, Olivier started his career as an art dealer before curating full-time, initially at the Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt from 2001 -2007, and latterly as an independent. He has written extensively on Pablo Picasso, Paul Cézanne, Paul Klee, and Cy Twombly to name a few. Olivier has curated international retrospectives of works by Francis Bacon, Henri Matisse, Yves Klein, Edward Ruscha, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and Paul Klee. Most recently he curated the acclaimed 2018 survey of Pablo Picasso and the Ballets Russes at the Scuderie del Quirinale in Rome.
Hugo Van Vredenburch
Non-Executive DirectorA financial services professional, Hugo was until recently Chairman of Interactive Investor, one of the UK’s largest direct investment platforms with over 30,000 clients and more than £20bn of AUM. Prior to Interactive Investor, Hugo was CEO of TMF Group, a multinational professional services conglomerate. Hugo also held a variety of positions at Goldman Sachs, retiring as Partner in 2005. Hugo is a former Non-Executive Director of Ecospray and Saltus Wealth Management and was Chairman of the Spinal Muscular Atrophy Trust. He currently serves as Chairman of Fauna & Flora International.
